We recently launched our new Honestly Aging line. Hereby we are happy to answer your most frequently asked questions about the products, how to use them and what they can do for your skin. 

Who are the new Honestly Aging products for?

Everyone looks differently at themselves, and approaches and experiences aging differently. Whether you're 25 and want to apply this line or 55, that's entirely up to you. Just know that there are specific ingredients added to this line to take even better care of wrinkles, fine lines, decreasing elasticity of your skin and dryness lines, among other things. So if you are interested in this and want to address this, the new line is definitely for you. 

Only for oily or sensitive skin, we do not recommend this line. But no worries! We have a day and night cream for all skin types in our range.

Which day and night cream is best for my skin? 

To help our customers choose the products that best suit their skin type, we have created a skincare test. This can be found on our website and based on a few short questions, you will be presented with a complete skincare routine customized for you. But that's not all! In what order should I use the products and how often? 

First, you need to make sure your skin is properly cleansed. For this, we have an oil cleanser, Recette de Pureté, and a micellar cleansing lotion, Rosée de Roses. This double cleansing is going to prepare your skin for the application of the skincare products. 

Next, you apply the eye cream. This moisturizes the eye area and fights puffiness, dark circles, crow's feet and fine lines. 

The next step is a serum. There are currently two serums in the CÎME range, the difference between them is explained further in this blog. Our serums help to promote skin elasticity. In addition, it helps to reduce fine lines, calm redness and improve the complexion. As soon as the serum is absorbed by your skin, you proceed to the next step.

Finally, you apply a day and night cream. These will nourish and protect your skin and give the skin a beautiful complexion. 

For optimal results, it is best to do this routine both in the morning and in the evening.

How much should I use of the products and how do I apply them?

You only need one pump of the eye cream. About the size of a pea. Use your ring finger and gently tap small dots around your eyes, starting in the inner corner and moving outward. Don't forget your eyelids as well. Dab the eye cream into your skin.

Of the serum, you also need only one pump. So rub this out on your fingertips and massage it all over your face, neck and décolleté. 

Finally, the day and night cream. Use one to two pumps of this according to your preference. Then apply it to the entire face as well.

Do I need a separate sunscreen? If so, when do I apply it?

All of our day and night creams contain natural UV protection of around SPF 10. This is a basic protection. If you will be in contact with the sun for a long period of time, we definitely recommend applying additional sunscreen. Most people also apply a day cream in the morning and this cannot protect you throughout the whole day. So it is good to apply sunscreen a few more times during the day anyway.

Sunscreen is best applied after the day and night cream, at the end of the routine.

What is the difference between the serum and the day and night cream?

The serum is higher dosed in active ingredients and contains smaller molecules that act deeper into the skin.  The day and night cream acts mainly on the top layer of your skin and its function is to nourish it, maintain elasticity and protect it from free radicals such as UV radiation. The combination of both products gives the best results.

What is the difference between our two serums?

A serum gives your skin an extra boost! But which one should you use? We have two serums that give very nice results on your skin's tone and skin’s elasticity, but are very different in texture…

The Retinal serum with high performance superheroes like vitamin C and hyaluronic acid intensely nourishes your skin and improves elasticity, boosts a healthy glow and fights wrinkles and fine lines. We consider this serum more of a morning serum because of its cream texture. 

The Kissed by a Rose serum is considered more of an evening serum because it has an oil texture. This serum keeps your skin well nourished and maintains skin elasticity. In addition, the wild rose oil in the formula ensures a beautiful, even complexion.

What ingredients are can be found in the Honestly Aging line?

All 3 Honestly Aging products contain the following star ingredients:

Retinal

Our star ingredient is all-natural retinal. This promotes elasticity and hydration of the skin and protects against free radicals. Retinal is also perfect to use on slightly more mature skin. It stimulates collagen, which plumps the skin, reduces fine lines and makes your skin look more even. Finally, it also reduces pigmentation and rosacea. A true all-rounder! Hyaluronic Acid 2.0 

Hyaluronic acid is capable of holding 1,000 times its weight in water. This new 2,0 version of hyaluronic acid boosts the elasticity of your skin and provides long-lasting hydration and soft, elastic skin without wrinkles.

Peptides

This ensures even skin and prevents redness, UV spots and pigmentation marks.

The nutri-intense day and night cream also contains:

Edelweiss

This is a very powerful antioxidant that protects against free radicals, including UV radiation. It also acts very soothing and anti-inflammatory. 

And finally, the eye cream also contains:

Caffeine

This will ensure microcirculation in the eye area and it reduces water retention under the eyes  and thus works against puffiness and dark circles. 

Bamboo soft focus powder

This has a mattifying effect and gives an optical effect to fill in wrinkles and fine lines and make them appear less deep. 

Extract of Jasmine & Hawthorn

This gives a lifting effect of the upper eyelid and works against puffiness and dark circles.

What packaging do the new products come in?

Our new Honestly Aging line, like the day and night creams Daisy Delight and Under My Skin, comes in a packaging made of Ocean Waste Plastic. This packaging is made in collaboration with a local cleanup team in Indonesia. These Indonesian fishermen remove plastic from the oceans and rivers which is then recycled and used by us. One packaging of these day and night creams equals the equivalent of 12 plastic straws removed from our oceans and rivers! For the Honestly Aging retinal serum this is 10 straws and for the eye cream 8. So you too are doing your bit when you purchase one of these products.
